Corrido's blue agave is grown in the volcanic soil of western Jalisco where the grower utilizes a special proprietary technique that gives the harvested pinas an extremely high sugar content. This "super" agave allows Corrido to put their blanco through a third distillation, imparting unprecedented smoothness while maintaining distinct agave character. Corrido Extra is a very limited production Extra Anejo. Only 13,050 liters of this tequila was placed in a small lot of 58 specially selected white oak barrels, reaching it's desired 3 year maturity just last month. Using a pain-staking "single-barrel" bottling process at the source in Amatitan, Jalisco, Corrido Extra is a shining example of ultra-premium tequila and the pinnacle of the tequila makers art. "Extra" has a dark golden color attesting to it's extended times in the wood.
